Dr John Birch Music Scholarship 2016

The University of Sussex is delighted to honour its much loved former music lecturer and organist Dr John Birch (1929-2012), with these named scholarships to support talented musicians (choral, organ and other instrumentalists) to continue to develop and perform while studying at Sussex. These are open to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students, whether or not they are studying for a Music degree.

Award amount

• Four scholarships of £800 cash award. Each scholarship is for 1 year.

You will need to write a letter expressing your interest in the scholarship and stating your musical attainment level to:

• 23:59 BST 30th September 2016: Close of Applications
• October 2016: Applications invited to audition
• 31st October 2016: Applicants notified of outcome of selection process
